Rick Benson brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. He began his career in his family’s construction company, where he worked as an equipment operator and superintendent. After earning a certificate in Construction Management from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Rick advanced into leadership roles and is now the Chief Construction Inspector for the City of Long Beach, Harbor Department (Port of Long Beach).
At the Port—one of the busiest in the nation with an annual construction budget of $250 to $300 million—Rick oversees a team of 20 direct reports, along with consultant inspectors and materials testing personnel. A career highlight includes managing the inspection and construction of the $1.2 billion Middle Harbor Program, a ten-year transformation that turned an aging terminal into the most automated terminal in North America.
Rick’s expertise spans large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on underground utilities. His contracting experience includes utility installation for schools, housing developments, mobile home communities, and RV parks. As Chief Construction Inspector, he leads the execution of complex projects including wharfs, bridges, commercial buildings, roadways, fireboat stations, railroads, and heavy grading.
Since 2003, Rick and Rhonda have also been active real estate investors, building a diverse portfolio of single-family homes, duplexes, four-plexes, and short-term rentals throughout California and Texas.

Rhonda Benson is a seasoned real estate professional with over a decade of experience as a Broker/Agent. She specializes in both commercial and residential sales, with a passion for helping clients invest wisely. Her leadership roles as a Business Coach, Mentor, and Team Leader reflect her dedication to empowering others in the real estate industry.
Before entering real estate, Rhonda had a successful career in Film and Television Production. She worked as a Post Production Coordinator and Music Coordinator on episodic TV series—earning an Emmy Award for her work on the main title theme of FAME L.A.. She later served as Vice President of Administration and Human Resources, bringing executive-level structure and organization to fast-paced creative teams.
Today, Rhonda combines her diverse professional background with her passion for people and planning.

Life Beyond Business
When they’re not working, Rick, Rhonda, and their daughter Bailey love spending time outdoors and chasing adventure together. Whether it’s dirt biking, boating, water sports, scuba diving, hiking, or pickleball—they’re always exploring and staying active as a family.
Bailey, currently a college freshman, is passionate about animals and helps care for the family’s dogs and cat. She also volunteers with a nonprofit that rescues horses and partners with veterans suffering from PTSD. Through this unique program, veterans train the horses to assist children with disabilities—creating a beautiful cycle of healing, connection, and purpose.
